The Way

As the founder of Sip of Stillness, I offer mindfulness experiences for those in high-responsibility roles through the quiet rituals of Japanese tea.

Born and raised in Japan, I have been surrounded by the art of tea since childhood. I now live in the U.S., where I share this tradition in a way that meets the modern need for stillness.

I am a certified yoga teacher (RYT) and hold continuing education credentials in mindfulness practice. While meditation never fully resonated with me, I found in mindfulness a grounded, practical way to return to the present moment.

Tea became my bridge: a tangible, sensory ritual that embodies mindfulness through taste, touch, scent, and sound.

In addition to my personal practice, I also serve as the director of a nonprofit managing a Japanese garden in Huntsville, AL. While separate from my business, this work reflects my lifelong dedication to cultural preservation and quiet spaces.

Sip of Stillness is not just tea. It is a moment of pause — for those who lead, decide, and carry the weight of responsibility.

I welcome the opportunity to share this mindful stillness within your leadership circle or organization.
